Mytilus californianus cover this rocky shore which we called our "exposed" site. We'll be sampling baby and adult mussels from this area to explore the genetic and phenotype differences between mussels exposed to incoming waves ("exposed site") and mussels that are more protected from waves by rocks (from our "protected" site, not pictured).
